Exciting things are coming!

For those who have been following our journey, we recently shut our café doors while our fabulous team work on some very exciting changes!

Our 5-year lease at our current venue on Whitmore Square is ending later this year. Thank you to the incredible support of the COTS community through our café and functions, fundraising and donations, we are now in a really strong position, to move to an exciting new venue and change the mix of what we do, to maximise our impact in the community!

Whilst we have loved sharing our site and working alongside Vinnies all these years, having our own space now will let us spread our wings as we start to really scale up the work we are doing, especially in our Soup Kitchen, so we can distribute more and more meals to people in need.

To put this in context, we are hoping to supply some 100,000 meals over the next 12 months - triple our previous year! These all go out directly to our fabulous partner organisations, including Hutt St Centre, Baptist Care, Vinnies and Salvos, to help feed people doing it tough out there, including those experiencing homelessness.

Although our doors are closed currently, we still have all our team in as usual and our incredible volunteers coming in most days too – so the wheels sure haven’t stopped spinning and we are still sending out loads of meals!

We are so excited for this new chapter to unfold, aiming to make even more of a difference to those who need it - so we can’t wait to share news of our new location and exactly what we’ll be doing, watch this space!
